What We Do

Empowering Dreams.  Empowering Lives.  It’s at the heart of The Billy Weeks Fellowship Program (BWFP).  We further this mission through two key areas: our school program and an annual student scholarship.

School Program

Our school program teaches young people how to be successful students, successful adults and encourages participants to find ways to give back to their communities.  We work primarily in an after-school setting and assist youth with developing and implementing a “High School to College (to Life)” Road Map.  Students learn college, career and life skills to help them achieve their dreams and make a difference in their communities.

College Scholarship

Each year selects a BWFP Scholar who demonstrates a yearning to succeed and a desire to make a difference.  By providing this annual scholarship to pursue a dream of higher education, we assist we can help ease the financial burden of college tuition.

Our Goals

  • Increase high school graduation rates.
  • Increase the number of at-risk students matriculating and graduating from college, with a purpose.
  • Encourage BWFP program participants and future college graduates to return to help revitalize their communities to help break the cycle of poverty.
